Beer tax doesn’t pass the pub test, Albanese’s priorities wrong: Palmer

Chairman of Trumpet of Patriots, Clive Palmer, said from Brisbane today it was wrong to freeze taxes on beers poured at pubs when millions of people are going hungry every night.

Mr Palmer said it was a national disgrace that the Albanese Government prioritises freezing beer tax revenue over feeding 3.4 million Australian households that sacrifice meals to ensure children don’t go without.

“The cost of living is breaking Australian families, pushing people to the brink,” Mr Palmer said.

This Government has its priorities wrong; this is one example of vote grabbing and poor economic management. This with the recent announcement of spending of hundreds of millions of tax payers funds on a PNG rugby league team is irresponsible.

Mr Palmer confirmed Trumpet of Patriots would adopt many of the policies of US President Donald Trump and drain the Swamp in Canberra by cutting costs on waste that doesn’t prioritise helping Australian families.

“Australia needs Trump-like policies which only Trumpet of Patriots can deliver,” Mr Palmer said.
