A former WA police officer and Member of the Western Australian Legislative Council, Mr Smith represented the East Metropolitan Region following his election in 2017. During his time in state parliament, he was a strong and consistent advocate for Australia first policies, focusing on the rights, security and prosperity of everyday Australians.

“I entered public life to serve Australians and to put their interests first — that hasn’t changed,” Mr Smith said.

“Our economy is under pressure and families are feeling it every day. We must reduce government debt in order to improve the cost of living. That’s why Trumpet of Patriots will introduce a 15% licence fee on all iron ore exports, with the revenue directly used to wipe out government debt.”
