Trumpet of Patriots has announced Edward McDonald as its candidate for the Queensland seat of Blair in the upcoming Federal Election.

At just 20 years old, Mr McDonald brings the voice of a new generation to the national stage. A blue-collar worker in civil construction, he says it’s time for real Australians to be heard in Canberra.

“I’ve spent most of my life in the Ipswich and Brisbane area, working hard like so many others trying to get ahead,” Mr McDonald said.

“Labor and Liberal have completely lost touch with everyday Australians. They’re out of ideas, and out of touch.”

Mr McDonald said he joined Trumpet of Patriots because it’s the only party willing to take on the two-party duopoly and fight for real change.

“The Trumpet of Patriots stands for common sense policies that put Australians first. We need leaders who understand what it’s like to work a real job and pay real bills.”
