The Trumpet of Patriots is pleased to announce Jonathan Cumes as its endorsed candidate for the seat of Maranoa in the upcoming Federal Election.

Mr Cumes is a highly experienced mechanical and diesel fitter who currently serves as a Maintenance Supervisor, overseeing plant and equipment operations in major resource contracts.

Prior to this, he owned and operated his own sub-contracting business, supplying skilled labour to the mining sector.

His background in hands-on trades and leadership roles has given him a clear view of the pressures facing everyday Australians, particularly in regional communities.

“The cost of living is out of control, and neither Labor nor Liberal are willing to tackle the root causes,” Mr Cumes said.

“Our immigration growth rates are simply too high. It is overwhelming our housing, infrastructure, schools and hospitals—and the congestion is destroying the character of our communities.”

Mr Cumes said he joined the Trumpet of Patriots to help make Australia great again, by pushing for policies that protect working Australians and restore fairness, balance and opportunity.

With deep roots in regional Queensland and a strong record of hard work and leadership, Mr Cumes is committed to giving the people of Maranoa the strong, practical representation they deserve.
