The Trumpet of Patriots has announced Martin Brewster as its candidate for the Federal seat of Herbert, bringing decades of leadership, technical expertise and public service to the people of Townsville.
A long-time local, Mr Brewster has lived and worked in Townsville for nearly 30 years. A Civil Engineer by profession, he brings over 40 years of experience across senior executive roles in the private and public sectors, including the construction, mining, and mineral processing industries, as well as local and federal government.
He is also a proud Australian veteran, having served his country with distinction in the Royal Australian Air Force for 27 years. As a returned serviceman and father of four, Mr Brewster has deep insight into the challenges faced by defence personnel and their families.
“I understand firsthand the pressures of military life, not just for those who serve, but for their families who carry the burden at home,” Mr Brewster said.
“After decades of service and professional experience, I’ve watched successive governments ignore the needs of communities like ours. Labor and the Liberals have become two sides of the same coin—a ‘uni-party’ that’s failed to deliver for real Australians.”
Mr Brewster said he joined Trumpet of Patriots because the party represents a genuine alternative with common-sense solutions tailored to the real concerns of everyday Australians.
