WA small business owner Melissa Bannister has been named as the Trumpet of Patriots’ lead Senate candidate for Western Australia, offering voters a strong and principled alternative to the out-of-touch political class in Canberra.
As a stepmum, partner of an Australian Defence Force member, and a former senior executive in a government department, Melissa brings a wealth of real-world experience to the table—along with a deep understanding of how government waste and bloated bureaucracy are hurting everyday Australians.
“I understand the pressures people are under because I live them too,” Melissa said.
“From skyrocketing costs of living to housing stress and a healthcare system under strain—Australians are crying out for leaders who actually get it.”
Having seen the inner workings of government firsthand, Melissa says she knows exactly how taxpayer money is being squandered by politicians who are more interested in photo ops than outcomes.
“I’m not a career politician, and I can’t be bought by big industry, lobbyists or corporate donors. I’m running for the Trumpet of Patriots because real change only comes when everyday Australians step up and say enough is enough.
“This election, Australians have a choice: keep voting for the same politicians who created this crisis, or back someone who will fight for real change.”
