Trumpet of Patriots has endorsed Michael Lockyer as the party’s candidate for the Queensland seat of Dawson in the upcoming Federal Election.
A proud Australian and lifelong Mackay local, Mr Lockyer comes from a long line of hard-working Australians.
His grandfather and father were both veterans, and his father also worked as a coal miner—a path Mr Lockyer has followed, working in the Bowen Basin as a tradesman in the mining and commercial industries for the past decade.
“I love this country and the people who call it home,” Mr Lockyer said. “Australia has shaped me into the man I am today, and I am proud of the values it has instilled in me.”
Mr Lockyer is committed to reducing government debt by ensuring Australia’s resources benefit Australians first.
“Trumpet of Patriots will place a 15% licence fee on all iron ore exports from Australia,” he said. “These funds would be used to eliminate government debt and strengthen our economy for future generations.”
Mr Lockyer is committed to standing up for working-class Australians and ensuring Dawson’s voice is heard in Canberra.
