Trumpet of Patriots has announced Peter Greenland as the party’s candidate for the Western Australian seat of Forrest in the upcoming Federal Election. With over 50 years of engineering and project management experience across Australia and the Asia-Pacific, Mr Greenland brings unmatched expertise and practical leadership to the race.
A graduate of the Gordon Institute of Technology, Mr Greenland has led major civil and infrastructure projects from Bunbury to Jakarta, including geothermal development in Sumatra and a billion-dollar expansion for Fortescue Metals Group. As CEO of a WA-based consultancy, he continues to drive land development and construction projects that deliver real outcomes for communities.
The electorate of Forrest is currently facing a worsening housing crisis. Soaring rents, driven by supply shortages and high immigration, have made the region the least affordable rental market in WA. Local families, essential workers and young people are being priced out, while overstretched services are reaching a tipping point.
A long-time Bunbury local, Mr Greenland has served as President of the Commercial Club and the Commercial Sporting and Recreation Club and has been actively involved in Rotary and community sports. His deep roots in the region reflect a lifelong commitment to serving the people of the Southwest.
Peter Greenland’s campaign centres on Making Australia Great Again through strong borders, economic freedom, and local-first policies. He will fight to restore housing affordability, reduce immigration pressures, and prioritise jobs and services for Australians. “Our infrastructure and services are stretched to breaking point. Trumpet of Patriots will act where others won’t—by putting Australians first,” Mr Greenland said.
