Trumpet of Patriots has announced Robert Jameson as the party’s candidate for the South Australian seat of Barker in the upcoming Federal Election. With a diverse background spanning agriculture, transport, and small business Robert embodies the resilience and work ethic of Barker’s communities.
Mr Jameson’s journey is one of dedication and versatility. From his early days as a farm labourer and sheep shearer to roles as a bus driver, meat worker and small business owner, he has experienced the challenges and triumphs of everyday Australians. His academic pursuits led him to studies at Monash University and Charles Sturt University (Graduate Diploma in Education). In his community Robert has been active, serving as Treasurer for the GAZA Sports and Social Club and participating in local chambers of commerce.
The Barker electorate encompasses vast rural areas of South Australia and is facing pressing socioeconomic challenges. Housing affordability and homelessness are significant concerns, with many residents struggling to find stable accommodation. Access to healthcare, particularly mental health services, is limited. The region also grapples with the impacts of rezoning agricultural land for housing, threatening livelihoods and the integrity of the agricultural sector.
Under the Trumpet of Patriots, Robert Jameson stands for economic freedom and the restoration of Australian values. He believes in empowering Australians through practical, results-driven leadership that puts the needs of the people first. With Robert, Barker residents will have a representative who listens, acts, and delivers.
Mr Jameson says, “Australians deserve better.”
“We can bring down the cost of living. We can solve the housing crisis with a loan cap of 3% and fast rail to connect everyday Australians to the job centres.”
“We need leaders with the courage to stand up for common sense solutions and put our country back on track,” Mr Jameson said.
