Shannon McGlone, a seasoned rail industry professional and long-time safety advocate, will represent Trumpet of Patriots in the seat of Werriwa at the upcoming Federal Election.
With over three decades of experience in Sydney’s transport sector, Mr McGlone brings a wealth of frontline knowledge in workplace safety, operations, and training. From his early days working in the building industry and meatworks to a long and respected career at Sydney Trains, Shannon’s path reflects the values of hard work, resilience, and service.
He is best known for his leadership in safety training, having served as a Safe-Working Trainer at Petersham Training College, a Safety Facilitator in the western region, and a Safe-Working Mentor in the Illawarra, where he pioneered initiatives that became models across the network.
“I’ve spent my life improving the systems that keep workers safe and operations running,” Mr McGlone said.
“Now I want to bring that same practical, common-sense approach to Parliament and fight for the everyday Australians I’ve stood beside my entire working life.”
A qualified motorcycle instructor and road safety advocate, Mr McGlone is passionate about creating safer, better-managed communities. He says Australia needs real representation from those who’ve worked on the ground—not career politicians.
