His current role as a property developer was built on skills gained as a licensed builder. He owned and operated the Cathedral Hotel and Wellington Cellars North Adelaide and the Union Hotel.

Steve’s roles in leadership highlight his dedication to community development and financial growth, namely over 15 years serving as director and remains a major shareholder of the West Beach Bendigo Community Bank.

His extensive involvement with charitable organisations reflects his deep commitment to social causes such as Make-A-Wish for over 35 years and participation in the CEO Sleepout for five years.

The Adelaide electorate faces several pressing socioeconomic challenges such as access to healthcare is a significant concern and financial hardship, including a high proportion of renters facing financial stress and concern for community issues such as alcohol and drug misuse and climate change.
