Trumpet of Patriots has announced David McClaer as the party’s candidate for the Queensland Senate seat in the upcoming Federal Election.
With over 45 years in the building and construction industry and experience as a Construction Managing Director, McClaer brings a wealth of practical knowledge to the political arena. His previous candidacies for the UAP in the 2019 Federal Election for Lilly and the 2020 State Election for Macalister demonstrate his commitment to public service.
Queensland faces significant socioeconomic challenges, notably a housing crisis exacerbated by rapid population growth and insufficient housing supply. In 2023, the state added approximately 141,400 people, with 87,900 coming through net overseas migration, while only 33,900 dwellings were completed in the year to March 2024, leading to unprecedented housing shortages.
Additionally, infrastructure development has not kept pace with population growth, leading to congestion and strain on public services. Economic disparities persist, with regional areas often lagging behind urban centres in employment opportunities and access to essential services. These longstanding issues require targeted policies to ensure equitable development across the state.
David McClaer is dedicated to restoring prosperity through practical, results-driven leadership. David aims to build a future where every citizen can thrive.
